Shelter Collection

November 2 thru December 18, 2020

Shelter Collection

In a 2018 study, there were roughly 19,600 Minnesotans experiencing homelessness on a single night.  While the study covers data collected before the COVID-19 outbreak, it shows the depth of the problem that seems likely to worsen with increased unemployment as a result of the virus.

Lake Area Bank’s core focus is to make a difference in people’s lives.  During these times of uncertainty, we want to do our part to assist those in need and the increased demand at shelters in our local communities.

You can help WIPE OUT homelessness!  During 11/02/20 – 12/18/20, Lake Area Bank will collect basic-need items and monetary donations for distribution to local shelter organizations.  Continue scrolling to see how you can help.

In addition to these basic essentials, these shelters can also use shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, toothpaste, deodorant, liquid hand soap, multi-purpose cleaner, disinfectant wipes, and dish soap. We will also accept these items and distribute to the local shelters.
